I’m an independent jeweler and designer specializing in fine jewelry made with stunning colored gemstones.  I run a small, quality business with discerning clients all over the world.

I do the majority of my own jewelry making, web design and development, photography, copy writing, and marketing because I love having my fingers in all of the pies I can find.   One of my many passions is colored gemstones, the jewelry trade term for anything that is not a diamond.  Most traditional fine jewelers and chains have a limited (not to mention sometimes inaccurate) grasp on the complex world of rare and beautiful colored gemstones, so it’s a perfect niche for someone like me.

Jewelry is an unlikely field for me to have become involved in, because I grew up as (and still am!) a tomboy.  My hobbies include target shooting, horseback riding, nature photography, and exotic pets.  I’ve been a professional dog trainer, an emergency dispatcher, and writer.  The actual making of fine jewelry is a surprisingly mechanical art involving acetylene torches, hammers, drills, acids, saws, and some of the messiest polishing compounds you’ll ever encounter.

I’m also an incurable geek with an addiction to Firefly, Stargate Atlantis, Flashpoint, and way too many other awesome television shows.  It was the TV show Firefly that jump-started my career in the jewelry business, and I don’t think I’ve caught up on sleep since!

Being a jeweler throws me into the intersection of many fascinating fields from gemology and metalworking to fashion modeling and typography.  It takes something this complex to hold my attention, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.
