Low flat rate shipping

We offer low flat rate shipping of $1.00 per order in the US and $2.00 per order worldwide.

Gifts

All items ship in complimentary black gift boxes with the Distinction Jewelry logo, a colorful paper band, and tied with satin ribbon. Colors are random unless you request something special. Invoices are never included; this practice reduces paper waste and ensures your recipient won’t see the price.

Packages ship in a plain cardboard box or USPS/Fed-Ex supplied packaging. For security and confidentiality, the Distinction Jewelry business name is not included on the mailing label, so order household gifts (or treats for yourself!) without worry.

Shipping directly to your gift recipient? We are happy to add a gift note of your choice.

Shipping speed

Many items are handmade to order right here in my studio, so I don’t have the ability to turn orders around as fast as a commercial resale website.

Attention to detail and old-world quality are more important to me as a jeweler and designer than speed.

I give shipping estimates in product descriptions; please note them and allow plenty of time if you are planning a special event.

Feel free to contact me in advance of your order if you need to know whether an item can be delivered by a certain date.  I have options including items in my rapid custom order section which can reach you quickly.

Expedited shipping options including express domestic and international shipping are available at an additional cost.  I do not have them available upon checkout because I wouldn’t want you to inadvertently pay for overnight shipping on a piece of jewelry that cannot ship for several weeks.  If you need something quickly, your best course of action is to contact me prior to ordering so that I can help you individually.

International

We ship worldwide – a large part of our customer base is international and we love our international customers! APO orders are welcomed.

It is a federal crime to mark purchased items as gifts on a customs form and it is our policy to accurately describe all items on customs paperwork. The buyer is responsible for any and all import duties, taxes, VAT, and other fees that may be incurred when importing items into your country. Sorry  We do not ship to countries under US trade embargoes. Please be aware of your own country’s import laws and avoid ordering items you know will not make it past customs.

Eco mailing

We keep our shipping materials as eco-friendly as possible.  Tissue paper and boxes are made from recycled materials and can be recycled; they also biodegrade. Our decorative paper strips are made from sustainable tree-free lotka fibers and recycle/degrade easily.  Our quality satin ribbons invite re-use.

A great deal of thought has been put into a stunning presentation that travels safely through the postal service and has a minimal environmental footprint.
