Ahhh, I love gem buying time! The thrill of finding lovely new stones to set into my designs and offer my custom order folks. Thanks to a trade show and an extended sit-down with one of my favorite gem dealers, I have quite a list of new stones to introduce you to. I don’t object to breaking up matched pairs. If interested in any of them, shoot me an email at distinctionjewelrycentral@gmail.com . And the stones are…..
Faceted gems:
* Light navy blue sapphires, 4mm matched pair. Beautiful, better color than most commercial grade and VERY well cut.
* Montana blue sapphires, 3mm matched pair. Gorgeous, brilliant.
* Burmese rubies, medium grade, 6mm pair. Semitransparent, very attractive pink color. Not clear but very pretty.
* Pink spinel, 4mm round. Really pretty!
* Emerald, 3.5mm round. Really nice little stone, not clear but inclusions are not apparent to the eye. Great color.
* Emerald, 2.5mm round. Really nice little stone, one visible black inclusion, great color.
* Spessartite garnet, 4mm round, 1 matched pair and one slightly darker. Brilliant stones, look like quality yellow sapphire. Deep golden color.
* Dark, dark London blue topaz, 5mm rounds. I’m not sure these even qualify as London blue, they are a deep navy. Affordable alternative to sapphire as far as color goes. Not a lot of sparkle because of the dark color.
* Peridot, 6mm round. Brilliant, clear, just over 6mm, exceptional quality stone.
* Garnet, 5mm rounds. Deep red with pretty brown undertones, really nice unusual color, great cutting, nice sparkle.
* Topaz, golden/imperial, 4mm round matched pair. Brilliant, clear, champagne color.
* Amethyst, 7mm checkerboard faceted rounds. Deep purple with hints of deep pink – rare color, exceptional stones. Top, top quality.
* Aquamarine, light blue, 4mm and 5mm. Very light blue, incredible sparkle.
List will be continued later – I’m out of time for now!
