Natural Colombian emerald stud earrings in solid platinum. Real gemstones hand set in solid, USA-recycled platinum studs. As I prioritize ethical sourcing of gemstones, I rarely offer natural emeralds because they are mined in countries and situations where violence and crime are closely tied to emerald mining and trade, and worker protections are inadequate. This is typically very much the case with Colombian Emeralds. I obtained a very small number of beautiful Colombian emeralds from a man who went there personally, and he and a local miner paid a small claim holder for access to dig and keep what they found. He was there from start to finish and then paid for the stones they found to be cut. This is a rare situation - and needless to say, an expensive one. These have absolutely perfect emerald color even though they are tiny - they are very high grade gems. 

Important note: Do not use ultrasonic cleaners, steam cleaning, acids, or any other strong cleaners with these. Emeralds are fragile, which is why I left the prongs longer than usual on these to protect the stones. These are rare, and collectable, and delicate.
