Spectrolite is essentially a variety of Labradorite. These are not for everyone; most of the time, they look like a rustic, flawed, hand-cut dark gray to black stone. Very rarely, at just the right angle, they produce a flash of color. They are a stone for lovers of hidden secrets and those who love to be underestimated. Those who love traditionally "beautiful" jewelry will probably hate these. Compared to regular Labradorite, the flash of color is much more elusive. However, it can be very bright when it does show up. Just make sure you are cool with them being dark 99% of the time. The color of the flash will vary from pair to pair and gem to gem; no two are alike and they may not match perfectly in size, cut, or color.

What to know about gemstone jewelry:

Gems (yes, even lab created gems!) are individual pieces of nature's art with minor variations in pattern, color, size, and shape. Gem sizes can vary +/- .2mm. Often, large gems are darker than small ones. I do promise you'll be happy with them, and accept exchanges as well as special requests like "Prefer darker green over lighter" which I will do my best to match within my stock. Some gems are fragile and should not go in an ultrasonic or steam cleaner.
