A tropical ocean fantasy for your ears! Expertly handmade to order in your choice of solid platinum, 14k white gold, 14k rose gold, 14k yellow gold, or sterling silver. These are standard gemstone stud earrings with friction backs, most commonly worn in the lobes of the ears; however they can be worn in healed cartilage piercings as space allows. Typically the smaller (3-4mm) studs are going to be most practical for cartilage piercings. Your brilliant new ear stack will be made to order with ethically sourced lab created gemstones and recycled, US-refined precious metals, expertly hand-set in our rural Oregon studio.

These stacks have slight color variation from set to set as I put them together from a batch of mixed color stones. The idea for each set is for them to go from blue to green - but it's more like they are all teals going from greener to bluer. It's a lovely, watery, subtle effect. All are 5mm, a great size for triple-pierced lobes. Or, mix and match if you have more piercings or fewer. These go with so many other colors too - they are amazing with purple, pink, blue, and white. 

What are Lab Created gems?

These are no imitation: they're cut from genuine sapphire crystals grown in a lab to exactly replicate their formation in the depths of the earth. Lab grown gems provide high-quality gems at a lower cost while avoiding conflict and other ethical issues that sometimes accompany mined stones. Lab created gems are not infinitely available in every possible color forever. And sometimes, colors change or stop being available - which is a good reason to collect these affordable gems when you see something you love for sale. Growers do go out of business or discontinue colors.

How to choose your earring size:

Most of our cabs are offered in 4mm and/or 6mm sizes. 4mm is a dainty earring, while 6mm is more noticeable but still not "large". 4mm & 6mm cabs look smaller than their faceted counterparts, so size up if in doubt. Scroll through the images for the best size references!

Gems (yes, even lab created gems!) are individual pieces of nature's art with minor variations in pattern, color, size, and shape. Gem sizes can vary +/- .2mm. Often, large gems are darker than small ones. I do promise you'll be happy with them, and accept exchanges as well as special requests like "Prefer darker green over lighter" which I will do my best to match within my stock. Some gems are fragile and should not go in an ultrasonic or steam cleaner.
